䷮ 澤水困

臀困于株木，入于幽谷，三歲不覿。

象曰：入于幽谷，幽不明也。

Hemmed in beneath a bare tree, fallen into a dark valley, and for three years not seeing the light of day.

困于酒食，朱紱方來，利用亨祀，征凶，无咎。

象曰：困于酒食，中有慶也。

Oppressed by food and wine — plenty itself becoming a burden. The scarlet sash of office is on its way. It serves to make offering in reverence; to set out on a campaign brings misfortune. No blame.

困于石，據于蒺藜，入于其宮，不見其妻，凶。

象曰：據于蒺藜，乘剛也。入于其宮，不見其妻，不祥也。

Hemmed in by a boulder and leaning on thorns; returning home and not finding one's wife. Misfortune.

來徐徐，困于金車，吝，有終。

象曰：來徐徐，志在下也。雖不當位，有與也。

Coming slowly, held back by an obstructing metal-fitted carriage. Difficulty, but a good end.

劓刖，困于赤紱，乃徐有說，利用祭祀。

象曰：劓刖，志未得也。乃徐有說，以中直也。利用祭祀，受福也。

Oppressed by punishment among the powerful. Little by little, gladness comes. It serves to make offering in reverence.

困于葛藟，于臲卼，曰動悔。有悔，征吉。

象曰：困于葛藟，未當也。動悔，有悔，吉行也。

Hemmed in among tangled creepers and on unsteady rock. Repent and act, and to set out brings good fortune.
