䷠ 天山遯

遯尾，厲，勿用有攸往。

象曰：遯尾之厲，不往何災也。

Too late to withdraw and left at the tail end. Danger. Do not undertake anything further now.

執之用黃牛之革，莫之勝說。

象曰：執用黃牛，固志也。

Bound fast with yellow oxhide — the resolve to withdraw is firm, and no one can loosen it.

系遯，有疾厲，畜臣妾吉。

象曰：系遯之厲，有疾憊也。畜臣妾吉，不可大事也。

A withdrawal held back by attachments, distressing as an illness. Providing for servants and dependants is still possible here.

好遯君子吉，小人否。

象曰：君子好遯，小人否也。

Withdrawing resolutely despite what one is fond of. For the superior person, good fortune; the petty cannot manage it.

嘉遯，貞吉。

象曰：嘉遯貞吉，以正志也。

An admirable withdrawal. Hold to what is right — good fortune.

肥遯，无不利。

象曰：肥遯，无不利；无所疑也。

Withdrawing in an easy and unhurried spirit. Nothing fails to go well.
