䷫ 天風姤

系于金柅，貞吉，有攸往，見凶，羸豕孚踟躅。

象曰：系于金柅，柔道牽也。

Braked with a metal brake — checked at the outset. Hold to what is right — good fortune. To undertake anything brings danger, like a lean pig fretting and stirring.

包有魚，无咎，不利賓。

象曰：包有魚，義不及賓也。

There is a fish in the kitchen. No blame. But it will not do for entertaining guests — it must not be allowed to spread outward.

臀无膚，其行次且，厲，无大咎。

象曰：其行次且，行未牽也。

The flesh of the thigh worn away and the walking painful. Recognise the danger and stay watchful, and there is no great blame.

包无魚，起凶。

象曰：无魚之凶，遠民也。

There is no fish in the kitchen — what should have been met has been lost. To rise and act now brings misfortune.

以杞包瓜，含章，有隕自天。

象曰：九五含章，中正也。有隕自天，志不舍命也。

Wrapping the melon in willow leaves — the honoured one covering the lowly, virtue holding the crooked in check. Inner beauty held within, and blessing descends of itself.

姤其角，吝，无咎。

象曰：姤其角，上窮吝也。

Meeting at the horns — so lofty as to cut oneself off from others. Difficulty, but no blame.
